The Port of Valencia has historically been one of the great drivers of the city's urban transformation.

The Terminal Hub is an innovation ecosystem that connects talent, technology, and investment from Valencia to the world, ensuring ideas meet opportunities. This connection isn't accidental; it happens because its mission is to create an environment where ideas not only develop but also link with real opportunities. Through a carefully designed network, it connects people, companies, and institutions, allowing creative drive to find community, purpose, and resources for growth.

All this is achieved with the help of the “Hubbers”: from large corporations like IBM, the Chamber of Commerce, Instituto de Empresa, or Zubi Labs, to digital nomads, freelancers, and emerging startups. All of them, linked to technology, entrepreneurship, talent, or investment, are the heart of the model that drives a digital and connected economy, shaping Valencia's future with a global outlook.

1914

The Maritime Station is born

Engineer Federico Gómez de Membrillera designs the passenger terminal for the Port of Valencia, inspired by Lyon Station (France). It becomes the city's maritime gateway.
1936 – 1939

Partial destruction

The building suffers severe damage. The Port of Valencia, a strategic area for the Republic, was targeted by bombings that severely affected the entire port area and the passenger terminal.

1980s

Reborn with new architecture

Antonio Espinosa Marín reconstructs the building with large curved gates and distinctive vaults. Influenced by the Modern Movement, Le Corbusier, and Mies van der Rohe, he creates a groundbreaking work that is ahead of its time for its surroundings.
2007 - 2010

International Press Center

The terminal hosts the Press Center for the America's Cup and the F1 European Grand Prix. High-level technological infrastructure is installed for international media from around the world.

2023

The Terminal Hub is born

Valencia Innovation District, a company of Valencian investors and entrepreneurs, secures the concession to launch the rehabilitation of the 5,000 m² building and carry out the project.
June 2024

The Terminal Hub opens its doors

+500 jobs. Flexible coworking (120 nomadic desks), private offices, a conference room with sea views, and public dining. 81 companies established, including IBM. Projected impact: €5–7M/year.

2025

Innovation epicenter and architectural gem

Selected as the Official Venue for Open House Valencia 2025. With over 500 daily visitors and an international community, it is consolidating its position as Spain's leading innovation hub and a symbol of Valencia's reinvention.
